Access Platform steel design
Project Duration: November 2023 - February 2024
Structural steel design of an access platform for maintenance and assembly work on a pipe chain conveyor system located adjacent to salt pans within an indoor facility. The platform includes an integrated crane beam with a load capacity of 500 kg.
Scope of Work:
- Static calculations according to Eurocodes (Dlubal RFEM)
- Detailed connection analysis (IdeaStatica)
- 3D modeling (Tekla Structures)
- General arrangement drawings
- Workshop drawings and assembly drawings
- Erection plans and bills of materials
Environmental Conditions:
- Indoor installation
- Temperature range: +5°C to +40°C
Corrosion Protection:
- Surface preparation by abrasive blasting to cleanliness grade "Sa 2½" according to EN ISO 12944-4
- Hot-dip galvanizing: internal target thickness 80 µm, external target thickness 100 µm
- All fasteners, connections, and anchoring materials supplied with corrosion protection (hot-dip galvanized where possible)
